Precocious enough to win at city level at 2, Azwa was classy enough to run an unlucky 4th in the Grp 3 Matron Stakes at Flemington.
Azwa has been phenomenal at stud with winners from 1100m to 1800m among 4 stakes horses.
As a Shadwell homebred and in their ownership until 2018 Azwa has had limited sale opportunities but proved her commercial worth at Premier 2020 when her Star Witness filly sold for $100k to the bid of noted judge Peter Moody.
Azwa has 2 daughters at stud in Australia with Espressino producing a Pride of Dubai colt and a filly by Grp 1 sire Prized Icon and her classy daughter Sesswa in foal first year to Godolphin’s Royal Ascot hero Blue Point.
