Description
Three-time winner of more than $100k prizemoney, Frost Yourself is a lovely mare suited to breed with this coming season.
She is by the multiple Group 1 winner FROSTED, the best son of legendary sire TAPIT.
Out of a fast daughter of the outstanding NORTHERN METEOR, Frost Yourself is from an Australian family running deep in black type. This is the family of:
- BULLA BORGHESE (G1 VRC Oaks)
- BOUND FOR EARTH (G2 winner and G1 placed)
Since she started training, Frost Yourself always showed ability. She debuted in the Spring of her three-year-old season with a third placing and backed that up with a win at Bendigo.

That effort was strong and she showed a lovely turn of foot, so it prompted Nigel to test her in stakes company at Flemington.
It was a little too soon for her in hindsight, facing the likes of Espiona, but she returned to winning form in 2023 as a four-year-old with back-to-back wins at Bendigo and Ararat. It may have been just a BM64, but the Ararat race was worth $75,000, so it attracted a decent field.

The manner in which she won earned her place in stronger company at her next two starts (Moonee Valley and Morphettville).
After her most recent race where Frost Yourself performed below expectations, x-rays revealed a tiny bone fragment in her off-fore fetlock joint. To be a future racing prospect the bone fragment will require a surgical procedure to remove it. However this will cause no concerns for a broodmare career. We welcome any enquiries and can share veterinary reports.
Her pedigree is free of Danehill but possesses the well-regarded NORTHERN METEOR and ENCOSTA DE LAGO as maternal sire and grandsire.
Several family members descending from third dam FIONNAY are stakes-performers by DANEHILL-line sires, perhaps offering some tips for a potential mating strategy.
