Description

Pompeii Empire is a 4YO gelding by Magnus out of Royal Academy mare, Rada.

Winner of 3 and 4 minor placings from 15 starts, Pompeii Empire still has plenty to offer. Has had 5 runs in 2024 with a 5 and 3 week freshen in-between. Won first-up in December after having a successful 'tieback' surgery in August 2023 and has been consistent since in metropolitan grade.

We feel he's probably come to the end of his prep this time in and could do with a freshen up and change in environment. He's an athletic type and doesn't require a lot of work. We've had no issues with his breathing since the surgery and feel he can still win races in the metropolitan area. Currently rated 64 with 1200m being his sweet spot. Sound and an easy ride on the track.
