Description
Zelta is a 3YO filly by Snitzel out of the 3-time winning and Stakes placed Manhattan Rain mare, Gibraltar Girl. Her second dam, Gibraltar Campion is a dual Listed winner who has produced 11 foals to race for an incredible 11 winners including 3-time Group 2 winner and Group 1 placegetter Only Words. Group 1 placegetters Babylon Berlin and Darci Be Good also feature on her pedigree page.
Zelta is lightly raced with just 4 starts to her name for 2 wins. She broke her maiden at the second time of asking over 1400m on a Good track at Kembla Grange and she won her last start over 1550m on a Good track at Kensington. Unfortunately she pulled up lame after her win on 1st November and radiographs revealed she had a horizontal basilar fracture to the medial sesamoid bone of the near fore fetlock (please see vet report). As a result of these findings she is being offered as a broodmare prospect. She completed 6 weeks of box rest and moved into a normal sized paddock in February.
