Description
Sheza Marvel is a relatively lightly raced 4yo mare by Champion Sire I Am Invincible. She has only had the 10 starts for 1 win and 2 placings.
She is an outstanding type and was a $260,000 yearling purchase. She showed loads of potential early days but has not lived up to it unfortunately.
Her debut win was exceptional, doing it in fine style whilst caught wide with no cover throughout. She beat a handy field including subsequent stakes winner Wonderful Tonight.
Her second run was very disappointing, but she pulled up with a wind issue and subsequently required throat surgery. Her form was mixed from then onwards, still showing potential in her races, but she required a second minor throat surgery to compliment the first surgery.
Her breathing has been perfectly fine since then, with no track work riders or race day jockeys reporting any concerns.
She just seems to have lost her zest for racing and is not putting in 100%. Perhaps a change of environment and training style might bring the best out of her. She would be worth a punt trying one more time, if not she will make an outstanding broodmare.
She has good pedigree and the type to match, this could prove to be a super buy for a keen racing or breeding person.
