Description

An opportunity to buy a young broodmare by one of the worlds leading sires, Lope de Vega, who boasts over 200 career stakes horses and 19 Group 1 winners.

Lirismo is an attractive medium sized mare who, after a patchy start to her stud career, has settled in nicely. She has thrown us a good sized Zousain colt who will be retained for the 2025 Perth MM sales and while she missed to Rommel on 1 cover, she went straight in foal to Marine One on her next cycle. Approx.15.2 ½ hh and 546kg

Lirismo is out of the 5 time winning and stakes performed Stravinsky mare Melody, who produced 6 winners including The Candy Man (11 wins from 1350m to 2200m, A$553,675, BRC Premier's Cup, Gr3), Phrases (9 wins from 1250m to 2400m, A$517,695, ATC Randwick City S Listed) and Motifs 2 wins at 2, 3d SAJC Queen Adelaide Stakes Listed).

After a short 4 start race career in which she placed at her first run, she was sent to stud in 2020 but missed getting in foal in her first two years. Since that time she has produced a colt by Zousain, which will be retained by the stud, and while she missed on her one cover by Rommel in 2023 she went straight in foal to Marine One.

A young well-bred mare in foal to the early, quick and drop dead gorgeous son of Capitalist – Marine One. What more could you ask for!!!

We are so excited about this mating that we would offer a 50% discount on the service fee to Marine One for Lirismo for the 2024 stud season.
