Description
Ship Creek is a striking mare who is a lovely type, with good bone and correct conformation. This beautifully natured daughter of Toorak Toff is a delight to have on farm. She is good to handle in all aspects and stands approx.16.1hh and weighs 620kg.
Her family contains the very smart 2yo Single Spice who has produced a host of multiple winners, including the Karrakatta Plate winner and successful Hong Kong horse Ima Single Man (Gingerbread Man). Other stakes performers in the family include Kinellins Legacy, who ran 3rd in this years Natasha Stakes just over a length behind the subsequent WA Oaks heroine, Own The Queen.
On the track, Ship Creek was placed in town before winning consecutive races at Northam on her way to a total of 4 wins and 6 placings at 1000m and 1200m.
From a breeding perspective she has been fantastic, producing a now yearling filly by Safeguard from one cover in 2021. The filly has been broken in, named and looks like she will go early. She was not covered in 2022 but went in foal from one cover to Marine One in 2023. Unfortunately, she lost the pregnancy in May, but we would offer a 50% discount on the service fee to Marine One for Ship Creek for the 2024 stud season.
