5% of two time group winning stayer, 4yo winner of 467K and Melbourne cup aspirant.

Melbourne cup qualified. A 5% share would include full owners privileges should he make the field.

Regally bred out of deep impact and group 2 winner omei sword , Muramasa showed great promise winning on debut over 1400m (beating Toronto terrier who has won 267k) and was progressive enough to run a brave 5th in the group 1 VRC darby.

In the following prep Muramasa was found to have a bleed from both nostrils and a partial vocal cord issue. He subsequently underwent a tie back surgery and came back to win at 1600 m at Flemington.

Over 2000m at Caulfield in the group 3 coongy cup Muramasa’s time of 201:21 was faster than alligator blood’s group 1 winning time of 201:98 just 4 days earlier over the same distance (both on good 4).

Next up was the Flemington contesting the queen Elizabeth stakes over 2600 where Muramasa won easily (beating Amade by 3.8L who last weekend won the 3200m listed Sandown cup).

In his most recent short prep he was slightly less dynamic but went to the paddock without a significant issue for a considerable spell in order to plan for a Melbourne cup campaign.
