Description
This weanling is a son of dual Group 1 winning son of Redoute’s Choice, King’s Legacy and is the fourth foal out of Reward For Effort mare, Oyster Bay.
Oyster Bay has already produced a sharp, 3-time winner in Dozen Kilpatrick (Capitalist) who was himself an $80,000 yearling. She has since foaled two Pariah fillies who provide opportunities for upside in the family.
King’s Legacy was an elite 2YO himself, winning two legs of the Australian Triple Crown – the G1 ATC Sires’ Produce and the G1 ATC Champagne Stakes. He’s regally bred, descending from the family of Not A Single Doubt and Snippets, and profiles very much as an elite stallion of the future.
King’s Legacy’s first yearlings were offered at auction in 2024 and sold at an average of over $100,000, with his colts making up to $775,000. They were purchased by some of Australia’s most astute yearling judges including James Harron, David Ellis, Anthony Freedman, Tony McEvoy and Lindsay Park. He produced 131 live foals in his first year at stud, providing him with exceptional ammunition in the contest for first season sire honours. This colt will be the beneficiary of any early 2YO success enjoyed by the stallion, being bred in King’s Legacy’s second crop.
