Description
MERIDIAN STAR is offered in-foal to CAPTIVANT, whose first foals sold to $60,000 at the recent Inglis Weanling Sale.
The CAPITALIST / STRATUM cross has produced five winners from nine runners, and they include the very smart Group Three-winning sprinter ENCAP, who was runner-up in the Group One Golden Rose, and the multiple city winner CAPITAL TOWER, who was fourth in the Group Two BRC Sires’ Produce Stakes.
The first foal out of MERIDIAN STAR, a three-year-old ASTERN gelding named MANDATE, has won once and placed on a further four occasions from his first eight starts and he looks a very promising galloper.
The two-year-old ALL TOO HARD filly out of MERIDIAN STAR, named ARDOUS, is in training with Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott so should get every chance, and MERIDIAN STAR also has a lovely weanling filly by VICTOR LUDORUM to run for her.
MERIDIAN STAR is a straight forward mare to breed with a good temperament, she is easy to trim, drench and float. She would make a welcome addition to any broodmare band.
Mares is being sold as owner is selling all bloodstock due to ill health. On farm inspections welcomed.
