Description

Mostro is a 3YO gelding by Maurice out of the Black Type Arena mare, Allaboutus, who is the dam of 5 foals to race for 3 winners.

Mostro is lightly raced with just 3 starts to his name for 1 placing. His last start was at Kensington on the 12th June where he was first up, and finished less than 3.5 lengths from the winner on a Heavy track which was not his ideal surface. He will race again next week either at Wyong on the 27th June over 1350m, or Newcastle on the 29th June over 1400m.

On the 5th of October 2023, Mostro was found to have swelling surrounding the proximal aspect of his near fore flexor tendons near the back of the knee. an ultrasonographic examination of his near fore SDFT revealed a grade II/IV lesion from 8-10cm below his accessory carpal bone and he completed the recommended 4 month spell for this tendon lesion to heal.

He has been in full-training at Randwick since 14th March.
