Shalaa colt out of dual Japanese winner Get Closer, whose first two foals to race are winners.
Get Closer’s first foal, Close Combat, is a dual winner at 1400-1600m including in Tokyo. From two starts, her 3YO Conspirator won impressively by 1.6L for Paul Messara & Leah Gavranich in May, after being a narrow 2nd on debut in a Super Maiden.
Her granddam Alysbelle was a G2 winner in California and twice G1-placed and is a full sister to USA Horse of the Year Alysheba (6 G1 wins including the Breeders' Cup Classic & Kentucky Derby).
This is a top-quality international family with no less than 30 stakeswinners under the first 4 dams including World Champion 3YO Sprint Filly Quiet Reflection.
