Description
September-born colt out of smart racemare The Closer, who won her only start at two at Geelong and beat a 3-time stakeswinner by nearly 3L on her 2nd start at three.
The Closer was an easy winner of the rich Vobis Gold Eureka Stockade prior to running 6th in the G3 Vanity to Verry Elleegant then 4th in the G2 Kewney S. to multiple GW Spanish Whisper.
The Closer’s first foal is a Maurice filly who was a $110,000 MM Adelaide yearling purchase this year by Mailbag Bloodstock/Gai Waterhouse & Adrian Bott.
Dundeel has made a terrific start as a broodmare sire with two stakeswinners, Noah 'n' A Deel and Itza Charmdeel, from his first 14 runners (14.3% SW/R).
This colt is bred on the same nick of Snitzel-line sires over High Chaparral-line mares as G1 winner Quintessa and other Group winners Best of Bordeaux, Russian Alliance, Roll On High and Williamsburg. The reverse Dundeel-Snitzel nick has yielded current star 3YO Celestial Legend (Doncaster H., Randwick Guineas).
Showtime is the sire of 2YO stakeswinner Show Royale, Flemington 2YO Group-performer Tacito & recent G3-performer Bojangles.
