Snuba is out of a winning daughter of Stratum, who is a half-sister to brilliant G1-winning Hong Kong Sprinter Lucky Bubbles. It's the family of Champion South African 2YO Soqrat and smart performers such as Selenia & Gunnison. Sasuba was covered by exciting first crop sire Alabama Express in 2023, so it's a family with the potential to progress further in seasons to come.
She is a daughter of high-class sire Deep Field, who is responsible for 33 Stakes winners from his first 5 crops of racing age. His sire, Northern Meteor, is broodmare sire of the likes of Communist, Buenos Noches, Prost, Charm Stone, Highness etc.
Snuba is being sold as part of an ongoing stock management programme of her owner/breeder, who maintains a small, select group of broodmares.
Snuba is a three-year-old filly by Deep Field who is lightly-raced with only the two racetrack appearances. She had successful tie-back surgery on the 14th of February 2023 and was given four trials over two preparations prior to making her debut.
She has unfortunately struggled to make any impression in two race starts at Warwick Farm when racing on heavy surfaces and we feel she would appreciate a drier surface and also a weaker jurisdiction, hence this sale.
She is a strong type with improvement to come and being into a racing preparation it shouldn’t take long to receive a return on your investment.
