Description
SPRUCE is a lightly raced 3YO filly by PARIAH out of the SHARMADAL mare, Sister Bruce.
She has only had 4 lifetime starts up to 1200m. She was last seen racing at Doomben on the 19th of June 2024, finishing just over 3 and a 1/2 lengths from the winner, and was sent to the spelling paddock straight after this run. She could come straight back in work if her new owners desired, or continue to spell,. She could also be retired to stud to take advantage of the upcoming breeding season.
She is being sold as her ownership group would prefer to race Metropolitan level horses.
She is a horse that still has plenty of upside and may be suited racing in a provincial or country grade,. She is good to handle on the ground, but she can be strong to ride. She may also prefer being trained in a smaller stable environment. Additionally further time in the paddock to strengthen may also be beneficial.
She stands approximately 16.0hh and weighed 480kg after her last run.
