Description
The impressive Fast Summer Rock is a beautifully bred mare being a daughter of Fastnet Rock and the G1 Stradbroke Handicap winner Mid Summer Music. She is also a half-sister to this season’s star racefilly Stephi Magnetica, who followed in her mother’s footsteps to also win the G1 Stradbroke Handicap just last month.
Fast Summer Rock sells with an early cover to one of Australasia’s hottest young sires in Proisir, winner of last season’s NZ General Sire’s Premiership and the sire of the $1.6m sale topping filly at Karaka 2024.
Her first foal Sizzle has 3YO stakes targets ahead in the new season after she showed plenty of promise in her 2YO year, running second on debut to Captured By Love, subsequently one of New Zealand's standout juveniles of the season. Her Savabeel yearling this year was purchased for $200,000.
A quality individual, she was purchased by respected judge Phil Cataldo as a yearling for $300,000 and presents as an exciting opportunity to purchase a highly commercial mare with a hot pedigree.
The family is going to continue to explode with four filly siblings, including G2 winner Hellfrst a $600,000 yearling that was covered by FRANKEL in 2023, owned by Darley.
Euphoric Summer, $260,000 yearling was covered by OLE KIRK in 2023. Her yearling Pierro filly sold to Pearce Racing WA this year for $100,000 and she has a weanling filly on the ground by Aclaim.
Mid Summer Music still has a Deep Field 2YO colt to run for her, a Bivouac yearling filly and was covered by All Too Hard in 2023.
