Description

Scarzel is a 5YO flashy bay gelding by champion sire, SNITZEL out of a speedy, Group 2 winning mare, SCARLET RAIN.

He has won 4 races over 1000-1100m and picked up 9 minor placings from a race career of 25 starts.

He pulled up sound, no issues following his most recent run at Dubbo earlier this month and will be spelling at a local farm until the completion of this sale.

He stands at approx. 15.3/16hh and is a well put together sprinting type.

Scarzel is listed for genuine, unreserved sale. Unfortunately this preparation he has hit a number of heavy tracks and as his form suggests he is more effective on good/soft surfaces. His owners have been with him since a yearling when purchased from the Magic Millions Yearling Sale for $220,000 initially with Mark Newnham at Randwick. They have enjoyed racing him but now feel that it is time to move him on and dissolve the large syndicate.
