Description
Strombus is a five-year-old gelding by Territories out of the nine-time winning mare, Conch. The gelding has had twenty career starts for four wins and seven minor placings with $170,000 in prize money, including a two length win in Wednesday metropolitan grade last preparation and a desperately unlucky 4th beaten one length in Sydney Saturday grade. With form amongst the likes of Banana Queen, Riverplate, Bella Rouge, Anagain, Hollywood Hero and Convincibility he is clearly upto metropolitan level in any jurisdiction.
Unfortunately following his most recent barrier trial on the 7th of March Strombus was found to have a grade 2-3 lesion on his suspensory branch. Since then the gelding has been completing rehabilitation and is now suitable to return to pre-training. Please see attached veterinary report from June 20th.
The $250,000 yearling purchase is easy to ride, strap and float along with his ability to handle all track conditions makes him the ideal addition to any stable.
