WELL RELATED WEANLING FILLY BY HEADWATER FOR UNRESERVED SALE
For unreserve sale is a good style of weanling filly by prolific sire of winners HEADWATER.
She is of good average size, with scope and strength, good bone and is correct.
Headwater who will stand the 2024 season for $9,900 and has sired 10 individual juvenile winners this season, equal with Capitalist on 10 and above him sits Snitzel, Too Darn Hot and Written Tycoon on 12. Quite amazing when you compare those service fees to his.
The quality of the 2YO winners is also there for Headwater, with his daughter Pure Aqua was successful in winning the Listed SAJC Without Fear Stakes. His lifetime Stakes winners include multiple GR.2 winner JAMAEA, Gr.3 winners MILEVA, AITCH TWO OH and WISDOM OF WATER.
Also proven in the sales ring, his 2024 yearlings have sold to a high of $180k. Headwater boasts a winners/runners ratio of 60.1% and average progeny earnings of $75,250 gives breeders a fantastic opportunity to breed a quality prospect.
Her dam Miss Reef is a half-sister to 3 individual Stakes performers including the highly talented Stay Focused.
A horse of great promise, Stay Focused was a dominant winner at his 2YO debut, before running 2nd in this year’s Gr.3 Blue Diamond Prelude at his second start and the going on to run 1.4L 5th in the Group 1 Blue Diamond Stakes. He has since been spelled ahead of a spring campaign with Group 1 targets.
