Description
LAYIN' FOUR has had 2 wins at 1000 and 1100m earning $105,450 in prizemoney. She has a current benchmark rating of 61 and is an exceptional type as you can see from the photos and video.
She stands approximately 15.3hh and is trained by Anthony Mountney at Kembla Grange.
After an uncharacteristically poor run at Kensington on 12 June 2024 we had our vets give her a thorough examination and she scoped as a Roarer (vet certificate attached) thus requiring a tie back operation. After much discussion, the current ownership group voted to sell her and focus on young racing stock coming through.
The prospective buyer has the option of carrying out the tie back operation and, all going well, have an ultra consistent provincial grade BM64/fringe midweek city grade horse or send her to the breeding barn and capitalise on her exceptional bloodlines with potential upgrades (breeding certificate attached).
This is an excellent Darley family with half siblings by Exceed and Excel and Ole Kirk selling for $420,000 and $325,000 respectively. The Ole Kirk filly was purchased at the Magic Millions this year by Bjorn Baker so there is the prospect of significant upgrades to the family pedigree.
