CHEMAINUS is a young mare by MEDAGLIA D'ORO. She from the outstanding RASPBERRIES, a brilliant winner of over $550,000 in prizemoney who has gone on to produce three winners including five-time winner and Stakes Placed MALAHAT.
The Black Type continues through the pedigree with multiple Group Winner VALOUR ROAD, outstanding Stakes Performer and 12 time winner ICE CREAM SUNDAE, multiple Group Winner FLAVOUR, Group 1 Winner SONTAG etc.
CHEMAINUS is offered in foal to Group 2 Silver Slipper winner, HEADWATER. The son of a Group 1 winning sprinter and multiple Champion Sire, EXCEED AND EXCEL, and from Group 1 winning sprinter RIVER DOVE, HEADWATER has all the credentials of an outstanding sire.
HEADWATER was Leading First Season Sire by winners (equal) in 2019/2020 and Champion Second Season Sire in 2020/2021. He is currently having a great 2yo season with 13 individual winners so far. HEADWATER has sired 15 Stakes horses to date including JAMAEA, MILEVA, AITCH TWO OH, WISDOM OF WATER, STARLIGHT, LITTLE MISS KUBI, PURE AQUA etc.
