This is a rare opportunity to purchase a yearling by Australia’s most statistically elite stallion, Extreme Choice. His yearling crop contains only 41 live foals, of which this filly is one. Furthermore, she is only the second foal out of a 2YO stakes winning American mare whose first foal was knocked down for US$350,000 at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling sale. Offerings like these are inherently rare, especially at this time of the year, presenting an exciting proposition for potential purchasers. This yearling filly is being offered UNRESERVED and will be on the market from the sale’s commencement.
The opportunity to purchase a daughter of Extreme Choice cannot be underappreciated. He is the sire of 12 stakes winners and 3 Group 1 winners from less than 100 starters – simply unmatched in the Australian stallion market. Extreme Choice will stand for a service fee of $250,000 + GST this season and will be well patronised once again. Critically, his yearlings averaged $500,000+ in 2024, with his stock selling up to $1,600,000. As discussed above, the scarcity of Extreme Choice’s stock creates an intrinsic value at public auction, of which the eventual purchaser of this filly can be the beneficiary.
Beyond the racetrack, Extreme Choice’s daughters are in great demand too. In 2024 alone, Espiona sold for $4,150,000 and in doing so became the second highest priced mare sold in Australia this year behind Imperatriz. Other major sale results include She’s Extreme, who was knocked down for $3,400,000, Extremist made $625,000 and Wollombi was purchased for $500,000. The pointy end of the bloodstock market is enamoured by the stallion, providing some great potential upside for the purchaser of this filly.
