Description
Special Day is a lightly race 6 year old mare who has won $85,175 from just 23 starts. Priced with a realistic reserve, Special Day is in full work and will continue with her current fruitful preparation if the mare is unsold in this sale.
Since being trained as a stayer from mid May 2024, Special Day has won an impressive $43,625 in three months from just eight starts. In those eight starts she has one win, a second, four thirds and 2 fourths. Special Day is a supremely consistent staying mare who gives her all each and every start.
This staying prowess is even more attractive for a potential buyer when you consider Special Day is a BOBS Extra mare. As a result for a country staying race the prize money grows significantly to $19,575 or $26,175 for a provincial staying race. You could even take the opportunity to double up your BOBS extra bonus and in so doing you would win more than standard midweek metropolitan prize money at the provincials!
The provincials is still an extremely attractive sweet spot for Special Day.
