Description
3YO filly by National Defense.
Valabing showed good ability from early on, starting in several 2YO Stakes races.
She made her debut in the 2023 RL Inglis Nursery and after a slow getaway, outran her big odds to finish a strong 6th, just 2.9L from the winner Odinson.
Her subsequent starts saw Valabing line up in the G2 Sweet Embrace and G3 Magic Night. Following a spell, Valabing has had three starts at Randwick and Hawkesbury respectively and has perhaps not found the wet winter tracks to her liking.
Her most recent start was last Tuesday, 13th August, so she is fit to race on with quickly and eligible for maiden class.
Valabing's ownership group prefer to race at Metro/city level and feel Valabing will be better suited at provincial level.
Her Stakes-winning dam Desert Lashes, by Reward For Effort, was very handy and a fast mare, winning 10 races including 2 as a 2YO. She won the Listed Redelva Stakes and a 55 Second Challenge race at Moonee Valley. Valabing is her second foal to race, her first foal is a winner.
