Description
From the first crop of Coolmore’s speedy Fastnet Rock stallion Acrobat, the fastest time ever two-year-old over the Randwick 10000m, this colt is the third foal out of the So You Think mare Marise, herself a daughter of the Group 3-winning, Group 1 Queensland Oaks fourth placed Generous mare Natural Woman.
Marise comes from an interesting international pedigree which includes stakes performers in Macau, Japan, New Zealand, the USA and of course Australia.
Acrobat has proven very popular at stud to date, covering over 360 mares in his two seasons so far with his first crop weanling selling up to $170,000 – over twelve times his service fee – suggesting that come yearling sale time in 2025, his first crop will be highly sought after.
With ten stakes performers as a broodmare sire already, So You Think has been represented by dual Group 1-winning, Champion 2YO Fireburn (Rebel Dane) as well as the Group 1 Deauville Prix Jean Prat winner Puchkine (Starspangledbanner) – with both being by Danehill line stallions, just like our Acrobat colt.
