Description

Mirra View – UNIQUE BREEDING OPPORTUNITY.

Mirra View is a quality 6YO Stakes winning mare who won the Listed Mona Lisa stakes and ran 3rd in the G3 Tibbie Stks.

She is by the elite broodmare sire More Than Ready, out of the G3 winning Redoutes Choice mare Mirrasalo. More Than Ready is the broodmare sire of 179 stakes winners around the world, including 12 G1 winners in Australia, producing the likes of Bivouac, Shinzo, Forbidden Love, Coolangatta, Southport Tycoon etc.

Mirra View’s family needs no introduction as she is the half-sister to the Stakes winning Mirra Vision who was an exceptional race mare by the champion sire Lonhro. Vision’s race wins and placings include 1st in the G3 Angst Stakes, 2nd in the G1 Empire Rose, 2nd in the G1 Coolmore Classic, plus she finished 2nd in the G3 Festival Stakes and the G3 Tibbie Stakes. Mirra Vision carries a booking for Zoustar for the 2024 breeding season.

Mirra View’s granddam is the blue hen mare St Therese. One of few mares in the Australian Studbook to have thrown two Group 1 winners, she is the dam of dual G1 winner Castelvecchio and G1 winner Maid Of Heaven. Castelvecchio was a Group 1 winner as a 2yo when winning the Champagne Stakes (beating Loving Bagy by 1.5L) and trained on into his 3yo career to win the Group 1 Rosehill Guineas whilst also finishing 2nd in the Group 1 Cox Plate. Maid of Heaven, in a short career of just five starts, won the Group 1 Spring Champion Stakes amongst her two wins and is currently in foal to I Am Invincible.

Mirra View was an extremely sound and honest race mare who always put 110% into her races but in her last race preparation she didn’t show the same determination and fight so the decision was made to retire her and to start setting her up for the 2024 breeding season.

Mirra View finished racing at the end of June and an equilume mask was put on her on the 1st of July.

Fast stakes black type Australian mares have produced recent G1 winners Riff Rocket, Joliestar, Magic Time, Fangirl, Mazu, Startantes, In Secret, Regal Power, Masked Crusader, Incentivise, Superstorm, Nature Strip, Graceful Girl, Instant Celebrity, etc.
