MAHIA is a two time wining mare who comes from a strong family with half sister MOHAKA winning the Listed Feilding Cup. MOHAKA is now at stud and has produced a Savabeel colt last season, and now in foal to Per Incanto, Mahia is also the a half sister to Hong Kong winner Shanghai Power.
MAHIA is currently in foal to the only Gr1 winning son of DEEP FIELD at stud in PORTLAND SKY. PORTLAND SKY the winner of the Gr1 Oakleigh plate as a 3YO, like champion stallions in Fastnet Rock and Snitzel. As trainer Matt Laurie said after his Oakleigh plate win ‘he’s a particularly good looking horse and with these colts that excel in open company have the ability to become great sires. He currently stands at Widden for a service fee of $19,800.
MAHIA produced an athletic SUPIDO colt last season which is being retained to race.
She is a very easy breeder and to do everything with. She has a beautiful nature and a pleasure to have around.
