Description
Heatstroke is a well grown yearling from the 2nd crop of Graff.
The colt is signed up to be trained by Richard and William Freedman.
The horse is bred by Steven Smith (Langdale Park) and some partners. A number of the original breeders have retained an interest in the colt for his race career. The colt will race in their colours which were originally used during the race career of Casino Prince.
The team are very excited with this yearling, especially when hearing the reports on another Graff 2yo colt that they are a part of with Richard and William Freedman.
Sire: Graff is a young stallion standing at Kitchwin Hills Stud in the Hunter Valley who had a very exciting race career competing at the top level. Graff was undefeated as a 2yo showing early precocity and speed with 2 wins, before winning the San Domenico Stakes as a 3yo.
Dam: Queen Mofeed is a young mare who is the half-sister of Counterplay. Counterplay had a successful race career highlighted by placing at Group 3 level.
Heatstroke was purchased as a weanling to be maintained to race. He is growing well and will look to be broken in early 2025 to give him every possible advantage.
