Description
This 2YO filly is by RUSSIAN CAMELOT who stands at Widden Victoria and had tremendous support from breeders, covering 373 mares in his first three seasons. In 2024, 37 yearlings were offered selling for an average of $70,000 with his top colt selling for $230,000 and his top filly selling for $220,000.
RUSSIAN CAMELOT’s first 2yo trial winner Kypto was a stylish juvenile jumpout winner at Cranbourne on 14/10/2024 for Ciaron Maher Racing.
RUSSIAN CAMELOT is by the great influence of CAMELOT who to date is the sire of 8.2% stakes winners to runners including the likes of G1 stars LATROBE who won the Irish Derby, SIR DRAGONET who won the Cox Plate, ATHENA who won the Belmont Oaks and BLUESTOCKING who won the Pretty Polly Stakes – just to name a few!
RUSSIAN CAMELOT himself had 11 career starts for four wins, four seconds and one third including a win in the G1 MRC Underwood Stakes and G1 SAJC South Australian Derby, a second in the G1 Caulfield Stakes and G1 Makybe Diva Stakes as well as third in the time honoured G1 Cox Plate at The Valley. A consistent performer RUSSIAN CAMELOT won close to $2.4 million in prize money.
This filly is the second foal of the smart race mare Moonlites Choice the winner of 5 from 14 including 1200mts at Caulfield.
She has a staying type of pedigree with the inbreeding of SADLER’S WELLS which has resulted in 414 individual stakes winners, including the staying prowess of the likes of G1 winners ENABLE, SIR DRAGONET, JOHNNY GET ANGRY, MR BRIGHTSIDE, DUNKEL and many more European champions.
This filly is a quality individual and will furnish into a lovely racehorse making her an astute buy for an owner or trainer to syndicate and race. She stands at 15.2hh with plenty of growing and maturing to go, she has been fully broken in by Ray Matthews, has been through the barriers and has been spelling for 6 weeks.
