Description
A mature, forward colt by the champion second season sire TRAPEZE ARTIST out of the unbeaten 2yo and stakes performed 3yo Counterplay.
From a family litered with stakes performers, this colt is a full brother to the stakes placed juvenile Artistica, who showed incredible talent when 2nd in the Listed Dequetteville stakes at just her second ever race start.
The family is all speed and is very precocious, his dam Counterplay was unbeaten in two starts as a 2yo before going on to finish 2nd in the Gr.3 Thoroughbred Club Stakes at Caulfield and beaten less than two lengths in the Gr.2 Armanasco Stakes at the same venue. This colt is the 5th foal out of Counterplay who has had yearlings fetch up to $650,000 and has been given an exceptional start to her broodmare career by visiting Zoustar, Written By and of course Trapeze Artist.
TRAPEZE ARTIST was crowned Champion Second Season Sire last season with earnings of $6.62 Million and sired more individual winners than Gr.1 producing stallions JUSTIFY, HARRY ANGEL & GRUNT.
