Description
A prime opportunity to purchase an attractive good walking filly by red-hot second-crop stallion ALABAMA EXPRESS, sire of G1 VRC Oaks winner TREASURETHE MOMENT.
G1 C F Orr S. winner ALABAMA EXPRESS has made a sensational start at stud, producing seven Stakes performers from his first crop runners and becoming the only first season sire to amass over $1m in progeny earnings pre-Christmas.
Fillies by ALABAMA EXPRESS strike at nearly 20% Black Type horses to runners including G1 VRC Oaks winner TREASURETHE MOMENT, dual Group winner and G1 New Zealand Thousand Guineas second ALABAMA LASS, and Stakes performing two-year-olds KARAVAS and POSTER GIRL.
At the sales in 2024, yearlings by ALABAMA EXPRESS sold up to $400,000, with an average of over $100,000. Demand is likely to be significant again this season with only 56 live foals in his 2023 crop.
This filly hails from the family of G1 Sires’ Produce winner RHYTHMIC CHARM and is the third foal out of an unexposed mare by DUNDEEL, himself damsire of recent Listed Inglis Banner 2YO winner WITHIN THE LAW.
Whilst still a relatively young damsire, daughters of DUNDEEL’s own sire HIGH CHAPARRAL have produced numerous Group 1 winners including COVENTINA BAY, DESERT LIGHTNING, WYNDSPELLE and MEDIA SENSATION, with the combination of HIGH CHAPARRAL and ALABAMA EXPRESS’ famed grandsire DANEHILL producing 176 Stakes winners.
This filly is an absolute pleasure to deal with, well handled with a great attitude, and raised on the same land that produced TREASURETHE MOMENT, KARAVAS, SHANGRI LA EXPRESS and POSTER GIRL.
