Description
Harpers is by Champion sire EXCEED and EXCEL out of the multiple Group winning mare MEDIA.
Excellent pedigree with black type 1st and 2nd dam and page littered with black type also.
Has had four foals to date with three to race - all winners. Her last foal was by Justify.
Current owners did not breed her in 2023 season as found the cause of her windsucking upon arrival to WA after purchasing from eastern states to be horrific Grade 4 squamous and glandular/pyloric gastric ulcers. She was given the gold standard of treatment including injectable omeperazole, sucralfate and follow up maintenance of Equestra granules. She blossomed condition wise after this treatment and her windsucking reduced significantly, which is now only infrequently witnessed.
She is fed a zero grain, ulcer friendly diet to minimise any flare ups and if she does have one, she is treated with injectable omeperazole and equestra granules.
Harp stands approximately 16.1hh and has the most amazing temperament, easy to handle and do absolutely anything with, float, truck, trim etc. Can be paddocked in a herd environment or by herself. Absolute pleasure to have around.
She is currently empty due to owners health and other commitments, however could still be served this season should the new owner wish.
