Description
Offered for sale is this lovely mare by arguably the best sire in the world, in FRANKEL. The sire of 153 x Stakes Winners in total , including 35 x Gr.1 winners and 102 x Group Winners, his performance is revered in every racing jurisdiction across the globe.
Isobel’s Locket is out of the stakes placed PIVOTAL mare Telopea, who has two city wins amongst her six victories, and was placed in the MRC WW Cockram S., Gr.3, when raced by Waratah Thoroughbreds. She has a HOME AFFAIRS yearling to come for her, and she is back in foal to the dual Gr.1 winning son of I AM INVINCIBLE, after missing to WOOTTON BASSETT in 2023. It’s obvious that she is held in high regard, and is being bred up accordingly by her current owners.
The Home Affairs x Telopea yearling filly, has been catalogued as Lot 214 in the Lime Country draft at 2025 Easter Yearling Sale
The mare herself has a yearling colt by GRUNT that is catalogued as Lot 224 in the Yulong draft at the upcoming Inglis Premier Yearling Sale, and after the success that Yulong had at the just completed Magic Millions Yearling Sale, where they finished 4th on averages, you know he’ll be presented well and will give the mare a great start. The mare had an unlucky time at stud last season, and had to change stallions a couple of times due to unavailability, but she was found empty to KING’S LEGACY on a 25/11 cover, after initially returning a positive first scan. She is a lovely mare, and due to the owner increasing his broodmare band during the season, he is reluctantly putting her up for unreserved sale, and retaining his mares that are in foal.
With a family full of black type, including stakes winners FERMION, HEARTHSTEAD MAISON, DIRGAM, RAVE REVIEWS and SAIL, this is a great opportunity to secure a young mare in the infancy of her career, and she would be a great addition to any broodmare band.
