Young mare in-foal to TORONADO from the famous Aga Khan family of ZARKAVA!
Zapped is a 4yo daughter of Gr.1 winner & sire SHOOTING TO WIN, out of EXCEED AND EXCEL mare ZERENDA, a ½ to million dollar earner ZEYREK.
She hails from the famous family of Champion mare ZARKAVA, a winner of the Longchamp Prix de l’Arc de Triomphe and dam of Stakes winners ZARAK, ZARKAMIYA and ZAYKAVA.
She presents with enormous upside with a yearling ½ by rising sire LUCKY VEGA, a 2yo ½ by super sire TOO DARN HOT with Kris Lees and a promising 3yo ½ by STREET BOSS with Jason Warren.
Covering sire TORONADO has enjoyed enormous success globally producing 41 individual Stakes winners including Gr.1 winners MASKED CRUSADER and MARIAMIA, who both carry ENCOSTA DE LAGO like this mating.
Toronado’s progeny averaged $334,167 at Inglis Easter Yearling Sale in 2024, and this is will rise again this year as his first crop of yearlings from his elevated service fee of $88,000 are offered.
