Description
Sampson is a very lightly raced 3 year old gelding by Snitzel, out of Frankel mare, Flora De Mariposa, a winner in Japan over 1,800 metres. He is a full brother to 4 year old New Zealand galloper Monday Melody, who has resumed this preparation with 2 x second placings.
Sampson went to the paddock sound on 27 January for a spell following his most recent start on 25 January. The ownership group have decided to move him on and concentrate on younger horses coming through to race at metropolitan level. Placed in an easier racing jurisdiction, and with a change of scenery, this gelding should provide new connections with some fun and certainly pick up his maiden at country level over a staying trip. The gelding has no vices and is very quiet to ride and handle.
