Description
Prosperina is a lovely 4yo mare by Group 1 winning and producing sire Hellbent.
She was purchased at the 2022 MM Gold Coast Sales for $270,000.
She is a winner at 1600m and stands at approximately 16hh.
Her dam, Jalan Jalan is a two time winner and stakes placed daughter of Foreplay. She has been a great producing mare having had three foals to race, all by Hellbent, who are all winners, including Dirty Dancing (4 wins) and Komodo Dragon (2 wins). Jalan Jalan also has an unraced 2yo colt by I Am Invincible and a yearling colt by Hellbent, which sold for $225,000 at the recent MM Sales.
Unfortunately Prosperina has developed a respiratory issue and the ownership group do not wish to go ahead with the surgical procedure required for her to continue racing. The decision has been made to retire her from racing and move her on to begin her breeding career.
She is a good doing mare with a great attitude and will let down into a beautiful broodmare.
