Description
Invincible Duchess is a 3YO filly by I Am Invincible out of the Group 3 winning Munnings mare, Ben’s Duchess, who is the dam of 4 foals to race for 2 winners.
This filly hails from the same family as Group 1 winner, Vergennes.
Invincible Duchess was purchased for $380,000 at the 2023 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
Invincible Duchess is lightly raced with just 2 starts to her name. She ran 4th on debut at Nowra on 20th October 2024 over 1200m on a Good track. Her most recent run was on 3rd November over 1400m on a Soft track at Nowra. She trotted up two grades lame after this run and radiographs taken on 4th November revealed severe sclerosis and a non-displaced fracture of the radial facet of her third carpal bone. This injury is no impediment to her breeding career
She has been retired to stud and is a great young breeding prospect being by I am Invincible out of a Group winning and multiple Group and Listed placegetter. Her 2nd and 3rd Dams have impressive winner/runner strike rates and steeped in progeny displaying black-type performance.
