Description

Violet Finale is an exceptional producing mare in foal to the European 2YO Champion racehorse Native Trail. Violet Finale is a half-sister, to the Group 1 AJC Oaks winner Wild Iris.

Violet Finale presents breeders with a rare opportunity to purchase a mare who has gone in foal first cover, in her first five seasons at stud, and currently carries a service date of 17/9/2024.

Last season Violet Finale foaled a beautiful filly by one of the hottest young sires in the world in Too Darn Hot. In addition to the Too Darn Hot filly, there are also unraced colts by Merchant Navy and Shaala yet to make their racetrack appearances, so there is plenty of upside for the mare.

Native Trail is a sire that many astute breeders believe was the best looking first season sire in the 2024 breeding season. Native Trail was an undefeated and dual Group 1 winning 2YO who went on as a 3YO to win the time-honoured Group 1 Irish 2000 Guineas.

Violet Finale is a very straight forward mare to handle and is by that great sire of broodmares, Tavistock. Tavistock has fast become a highly sort after broodmare sire, siring the dams of seven group winners including the current nine times Group 1 marvel Mr Brightside, as well as Group 1 winner Mercurial, and Group 2 winners Straight Arron and Dragon Queen.
