Description
Drums Of War - Short Course specialist looking for a sea change.
We have learnt the hard way, through our hip pockets that Drums of War is best at 1000m or less, despite being a son of American Pharoah he’s not stout enough to get past 1000m. We've also learnt, (again through our pockets) that he hates any spit on the ground. He is a genuine GOOD Track horse, the firmer the better.
His ownership team have lost patience with him. He is a restricted class galloper, he needs short course trips and he’s one dimensional with his flat out racing style. He’s been given every chance but unfortunately he's not progressive in this tough Sydney environment, he is however more than capable of winning more races. His owners though are not prepared to give him any further opportunity as he’s a horse that will not be measuring up to Sydney metro grade.
The time has come to say goodbye to a horse that has shown ability but is exceptionally frustrating. He would be the perfect horse for FNQ, NT, WA or SA. He needs firm ground and plenty of race options at 1000m or under.
Note: Drums of War’s race record on Good Tracks is 8 starts for 2 Wins, 1 Second & 3 Thirds. 6 of his 8 starts on GOOD tracks has seen him figure in the finish.
This is a horse that would suit a true horseman. He’s a bit quirky, but he’s also got talent. He has plenty of natural speed and will suit most country jurisdictions.
The time has come to say goodbye to “Drummer", and we trust soon, we will be watching him enter the winner’s circle for his new owners. He is offered UNRESERVED to ensure all prospective buyers can bid and buy with confidence.
