2.5% Share Available in Winning 4YO Gelding – 4 Starts: 2 Wins, 1 Second – Entering Second Preparation
An exciting opportunity exists to secure a 2.5% share in a progressive and talented 4-year-old gelding by champion sire Pierro, out of stakes-performed mare Dinnigan.
Purchased for $380k at the 2022 GC MM and initially earmarked for Hong Kong, this outstanding gelding - affectionately known as Pierre - was acquired by Edge Thoroughbreds in early 2024. Under the guidance of leading trainer Matt Dunn, Pierre enjoyed a patient and structured build-up to his debut racing prep. The results speak for themselves:
- 4 starts for 2 wins, 1 second, and a fourth
- A touch of luck could have seen him unbeaten from all four starts.
- Boasts an impressive turn of foot, running 33.9 over the final 600m on debut.

He’s now in pre-training at Hinterland Thoroughbreds and will return to Matt Dunn’s stable in early April for his second prep. We’re targeting metropolitan racing this preparation, along with a well-timed Highway start. We expect him to relish a step up to the 1600-2000m range and be competitive at city level.
