The 7-time winning mare MOOSHAKA has retired as a sound racehorse, possessing all the qualities needed to produce exceptional offspring.
By Pride of Dubai, the same sire as the great PRIDE OF JENNI, MOOSHAKA was purchased for $75k at the 2020 Inglis Classic Sale. Throughout her career, MOOSHAKA proved herself to be fast and durable, securing 7 wins and 16 placings from 45 starts, accumulating $180k in prizemoney. Her longevity and consistent top performances (placing in the Top 3 in 51% of her starts) can be attributed to her remarkable constitution and strong physical conformation.
MOOSHAKA is the second foal of city-winning 2-year-old MOOSHAKISSA, who also ran a fantastic 5th place to CAPITALIST in the 2016 Magic Millions Classic. MOOSHAKISSA's first foal, DIESEL AND DUST, is a full brother to MOOSHAKA and a 7-time winner himself, earning $230k in prizemoney. MOOSHAKISSA is a half-sister to Group 3-winning 2-year-old BROADBAND (by Sebring), both of whom are out of the city-winning 2-year-old mare ELECTRIC DREAMS. ELECTRIC DREAMS also ran 4th to the champion MORE JOYOUS in the Listed Sheraco Stakes. BROADBAND has since produced DRISANA, who finished 2nd in the 2021 Gimcrack Stakes before suffering a career-ending injury.
ELECTRIC DREAMS' dam, VOLTED IN (by Rory’s Jester), is a half-sister to five black-type performers, including Group One winners DRUM (by Marauding) and ANAMATO (by Redoute’s Choice), as well as Group One-placed TAMBOR (by Marauding). TAMBOR is the dam of GRAND ARMEE (by Hennessy), the 2005 Champion Older Horse in Australia.
