This Japanese-bred mare is a three-quarter blood-sister to 4 SWs including Group 1 winners and Champions in Japan Marialite and Chrysoberyl. This mare is the dam of Yellow Beryl (3 wins), a former $180k Magic Millions yearling.
Almandine is a daughter of Hong Kong Vase (Group 1) winner and excellent sire Stay Gold, sire of 10 Group 1 winners among his 57 SWs. Stay Gold is now broodmare sire of 9 SWs to date – 3 of them Group winners.
This Danehill-free mare sells with strong upside given she has a yearling filly by proven Group 1 sire Maurice and a weanling filly by rising star second crop sire Castelvecchio.
