Description
Bullfighter is a 3YO gelding by Capitalist out of Listed winning I Am Invincible mare, Espaaniyah. He hails from the same family as Group 3 VRC Kennedy Plate winner and Gimcrack Stakes winner, Jorda, as well as multiple Group 1 winner, She’s Extreme.
Bullfighter was purchased for $420,000 at the 2023 Magic Millions Yearling Sale and is lightly raced with just 5 starts to his name for 2 placings. His last run was on 30th January at Scone over 1400m where he finished mid-field.
On the 31st of January Bullfighter was examined at the Randwick stables of Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott post-race. He was walking lame off fore, with moderate effusion of the mid carpal joint of the knee. Radiographs revealed a non-displaced sagittal fracture of the third carpal bone in the off fore knee (see vet report attached). There was also moderate modelling of the distal dorsomedial radial carpal bone. He has completed 2 months of his recommended 6 month spell.
