Description

Decimus is a 5yo bay gelding by Dundeel x Quattro Foglie standing at 16.1hh.

He has had 26 career starts for two wins and seven placings at city, provincial and country tracks. His wins were at Kembla Grange over 1600m and Canberra over 1300m. His placings were at Warwick Farm, Newcastle, Kembla Grange and Hawkesbury over 1300m to 1600m. He has been tried over further, up to 1900m, but his best performances seem to be over 1600m.

He is versatile in all track conditions having won and placed on all going and seems to enjoy anything up to soft 7. However, he did run 3rd in his only attempt on a heavy 8 track.

He is being sold as a racing proposition on behalf of the owners as they prefer city-performed horses and want to concentrate on new stock about to race. We think Decimus will be best suited to provincial and country races in all racing jurisdictions.

Decimus is a horse with a decent attitude and good barrier manners, who would also be suitable for retraining after racing.
