Description
Epicus is a 5yo gelding who has amassed $150k in prize money from 3 wins and 2 placings, is being moved on as owners explore options with younger stock.
This horse put in a big first prep after a stable change which included a metropolitan win at Canterbury in convincing fashion. Since then his form has been mixed going up in grade tackling some good races and also having to deal with heavy tracks, which he does not enjoy.
He is a gelding that has always shown well above average ability. His form has been mixed lately but when he turns up he is more than capable as was evident two starts ago, beaten just 1L at NSW Provincial level. The decision for the majority of owners is to sell up with him already in the paddock for 3 weeks (at time of sale), which might be appealing as he could kick off straight away for a new stable and yield a good return on investment with potentially a slight drop in grade or jurisdiction and continue on his career. The perfect horse for a stable who can unlock a horse to find some very good form.
The horse himself is a very easy horse to deal with and has never been an issue. Nothing phases him at all and he is a very good traveller.
Epicus is well and sound at time of listing and all efforts are made to disclose any issues. He has been vetted and cleared all throughout his last prep. We will however take no liability after the sale and suggest you do independent vetting if required.
