Description
This colt is out of Mayameen, a seven-year-old mare who is a six-time-winner, including 2 wins at 2, over distances of 1000m – 1350m. Mayameen is out of Gr.3 placed Maysoon who is the dam of 4 named foals who are all winners. Mayameen is a half-sister to Gr.3 Gimcrack S. placed Mayaaseh (Exceed and Excel).
This is her second foal. Her yearling colt was purchased at this year’s Inglis Classic Sale by Darby Racing for $75,000 who will be in training with Anthony and Sam Freedman.
This colt is a well-marked and a strong physical type.
Microphone is a Champion 2YO and Gr.1 Sire’s Produce winner. From his first crop he produced Matisse who is a juvenile winner, Gr.2-placed and a Gr.1 performer. He is the sire of last start winner Amplify who is on target for black type opportunities this spring.
