5% Share for Sale (Unreserved) in TRIPLE TIME, a 3YO Gelding by Brazen Beau out the dual winning Lonhro mare, Light Romance.
The Brazen Beau x Lonhro nick is the currently the most successful cross for the stallion with his progeny achieving 3 stakes winners to date, including ZAPATEO (a Group 1 winner boasting ~ $1,760,000 in prize money earnings) as the best performed.
Triple Time is being trained by Mick Price and Michael Kent out of their Cranbourne stables.
Triple Time has only been to the races once so far. He competed in Heat 1 of the Emerging Stars Series Maiden ($75,000 race) over 1200m at Ballarat in late October last year. He was extremely colty pre-race which no doubt impacted his performance however it was full of merit as he was approximately 10 lengths last with 400m to go and flew home to finish just 2.21 lengths from the eventul winner, JUST FOR SHOW.
JUST FOR SHOW has gone on to win two races since, including the Musk Creek Farm Vobis Gold Carat (a $175,000 race) at Moonee Valley. TRIPLE TIME ran the fastest 800m, 600m, 400m and 200m of the race. He's since been gelded which should assist with his pre-race manners greatly and keeping his mind on the job for his next racing preparation. His performance at his only start and late excelleration gave the indication that he may appreciate a slighlty further trip, possibly 1400m and he may get out to a mile.
TRIPLE TIME is currently spelling as he recovers from a minor soft tissue injury in the near hind upper leg. All things going to plan he should be back in pre-training around June this year for his next racing preparation.
TRIPLE TIME was originally purchsed by MG Price Racing and Breeding Pty Ltd at the 2023 Inglis Premier Sale for $120,000, from the Widden Stud draft. His debut race and trial replays can be viewed on the Racing.com webisite.
The only reason for the sale of the 5% share is to consolidate bloodstock interests.
