Trapeze Artist x Celandine colt
Snitzel's most prolific Gr.1 winning son (four times successful at the elite level), Trapeze Artist is now doing the job at stud.
Like him his progeny are improving with maturity and there is a Gr.1 winner (the Caulfield Guineas hero Griff) and two other Group winners in his debut crop who are just four years of age.
Another 11 of Trapeze Artist's foals are stakes placed and another 28 are metropolitan winners... meaning that 43.7% of his progeny are at least city class.
This colt is the third foal for the talented mare Celandine who showed versatility (winning on pace and from behind) taking out two races (at Warwick Farm and HawkesburY during a six start career.
A $310,000 broodmare purchase who visited Zousain last year, Celandine (whose sire Medaglia d'Oro is dam sire of 127 stakes winners) is one of the four winners (from five foals) for the classy Red Ransom mare Romneya whose six victories included two at Group level.
Her dam is the Gr.3 and Listed winning juvenile Mannington, dam of the VRC Derby hero Benicio and daughter of the Golden Slipper star Bint Marscay who established a dynasty at stud.
As did her Gr.3 winning dam Eau d'Etoile who also produced the Gr.1 winners Filante and Kenny's Best Pal.
