Description
Cabanga is by the successful broodmare SO YOU THINK (NZ).
So You Think’s daughters have produced the likes of FIREBURN, the Golden Slipper winning Champion 2YO. He also has the very exciting 2YO colt RIVELLINO (Too Darn Hot) who has won over $1.6million from just three wins, including the Group 2 ATC Skyline Stakes and the Listed Inglis Millenium. Other notable progeny include KINTYRE, FIRM AGREEMENT and GOLD BULLION.
Cabanga is in foal to Newgate Farm’s young sire North Pacific who was one of the top 3YO colts of his generation. North Pacific’s first crop are now 2yos and his first winner Brazen Sailor won on debut. North Pacific’s progeny are in the stables of leading trainers such as Chris Waller, Ciaron Maher, Annabel Neasham & Rob Archibald, Michael Freedman, Mick Price & Michael Kent Jnr. North Pacific has already proven himself as a commercial stallion with his first crop yearlings selling for up to $420,000 (filly ex Sunlit).
The mare’s yearling is a colt by Brutal will be trained by Ciaron Maher and was sold at this year’s Classic sale for $110,000. Her 2yo Cosmic Force colt (named Cosmic Avenger) was an $80,000 yearling & ran 4th at Randwick on debut in January behind Rivellino and is in training with John Sargent. Cabanga also has a weanling colt by Brutal.
Black type is prolific throughout her family that includes the four time Group 1 winner and Champion 3yo of her generation GRAND ARCHWAY, as well as STAND TALL & SEUL AMOUR.
