Description
This NZ-bred mare, a former $200,000 Karaka yearling, was a winner over 1100m and stakesplaced as a 2yo. Iffragal is a half-sister to 4 other winners of 11 races including the dams of SP pair Flaunt It Girl and Pushy (a subsequent Hong Kong winner). Her stakes-placed dam is a half-sister to the dams of Hong Kong Gr1 winner All Thrills Too (8 wins) and SWs Adaline (Gr2 winner), Gotta Have Heart (Gr3 winner) and Champion NZ 2YO Filly Crossyourheart.
The Danehill-free Iffragal is a daughter of highly successful shuttle sire Iffraaj, sire of over 100 SWs – 13 of them Gr1 winners - and is now the damsire of 44 SWs including Gr1 winners Melody Belle (14 Gr1 wins) and Molly Bloom. This young mare has a 2yo filly by Pariah (sire of 3 Group winners) and a yearling colt by European Champion 3YO Colt Palace Pier (by Kingman). Iffragal sells in foal on an early cover to Hitotsu (by Maurice), a winner of 3 Gr1 races – Australian Guineas, Australian Derby & VRC Derby.
The resulting foal will be bred on the same successful cross of Maurice over Mr. Prospector-line mares as Gr1 winner Jack d?Or and other Group winners North Bridge, Nocking Point & Kibou.
